Radio Tests

Objectives

To try to rule out radio transmissions from other radios close to site of investigation.

During the course of our investigations, we have noticed that we get a lot of strange radio transmissions. This usually happens at times when we are trying to provoke a response to questions.
Now there could a two or three explanations for this, the first and most logical would be accidental activation of the radio transmit button, the second could be co-incidental transmissions from other users of this type of radio that live close to the site.

Method

At one of the regular sites with the consent of the site manager we set up a control experiment, basically we left a radio and voice activated recorder to see if there was any of these types of transmissions on a non vigil night. This was only done once and I believe it may be worth repeating the experiment.

Results

During this experiment there was no radio transmissions recorded, although it was only done once so we believe we should try this over a period of time.
