Hobbies Outside the Paranormal World:
My hobbies revolve largely around doing “fun stuff” with my young kids so there is lots of visiting Thomas The Tank Engine and playing on swings etc in our household. I also love reading and writing and do a lot of volunteer work. As a medium, a lot of my hobbies are of a spiritual nature as I sit in a development circle, meditate often and read the tarot.
Most memorable "paranormal" investigation:
The most memorable investigation I have had the privilege of investigating with the team was at an Abbey in North Yorkshire. The residual energy across the location was so amazingly strong I would find myself wanting to do unusual things like walk in circles or dig, only to have it later confirmed that this is what the spirits had done in those particular areas. When we started the first vigil we were joined by a monk who wanted to take us on a guided tour. He used spirit lights, seen by everyone, to show his location and encourage us to follow them. As the night wore on, we were also joined by a spirit who was less enthusiastic about our presence and would tell us to “get out” using the radio – this place is in the middle of nowhere and so there was not the opportunity to pick up any rogue messages!
So many things happened throughout the investigation visually, audibly and directly through connection with spirit that I will be amazed if this investigation could ever be topped!
Most memorable "paranormal" EXPERIENCE:
While in the dungeon at Newark Castle I came across the spirit of a 12 year old boy named William. When we were about to leave the vigil he set off all of the equipment at once and told me that he didn’t want us to leave him. He then started to respond to our questions using the EMF meter. Any time any of us made to leave again he would set off all of the equipment again and eventually we asked him to leave the dungeon with us.
He stayed with us through the night using equipment to show he was there, switched a light on and also pulled the hat off the back of my head several times. When we said that we were going back into the dungeon he threw the tennis ball trigger object down the staircase to where we were stood as a mark of protest. This little chap will stay in my memory forever!
